About Luca Sartore

«La terra canta Mi, Fa, Mi: potete dedurre persino dalle sillabe che in questo mondo non vi è che Miseria e Fame»

Luca Sartore was born in 1988 in Veneto. From early childhood began his liturgical organist activity and at 7 is already the organist at the Cathedral of his town. It’s just from the organ that the love for the harpsichord was born, which will become for him the second instrument. At 12 he began his concert career that will see him perform - both as soloist and as a continuo player - in dozens of countries around the world: Italy, Switzerland, Austria, Germany, Czech Republic, Ukraine, Hungary, France (where it will play in Versailles and the largest organ of the Church of Saint-Sulpice), England, Siberia, India, Brazil (where he will give concerts at the famous theater in Manaus, the most important of South America), etc ... He has been an organist and curator of the historian G. Callido (eighteenth century) organ of the Cathedral of Cittadella (PD), after that the organist of the Serassi (nineteenth century) of the Cathedral of Albenga (SV)
and finally Kapellmeister of the Teutonic Order for the Province of South Tyrol (Bolzano). He recorded several CDs among which an anthology of Padre Davide da Bergamo. He owns two harpsichords, one of which he had constructed all by himself. A versatile musician, he is also into the electronic music, playing synthesizers, laser harp, theremin and catophone and recording the album Chtuhlu and other visions and Suspiria de Profundis with the trio Les Pharaos Montsegur, founded with friends Maurizio Carelli and Piercarlo Bormida. He performs on Indian organ the music of Armenian mystic George Ivanovitch Gurdjieff. Convinced of the “sacred" organist mission within the music consortium, he is committed to the Western spiritual heritage preservation, cultivating a personal asceticism to accompany to practice of this art. Luca Sartore is also a writer and film director ... but that’s all another story...
